A TRANSCRIPT OF A DEED FROM THE REGISTRY OF DEEDS DUBLIN EIRE.

1845 Vol 2 entry number 67.
To the register appointed by act of Parliament for registering Deeds Will Conveyances and so forth.

A memorial of an indented deed of marriage settlement bearing date the seventeenth day of May in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and forty four and made and executed by and between JOHN VAUGH and GEORGE VAUGH his eldest son both of the town of Leitrim in the county of Leitrim gentlemen of the first part and MARGARET WILTON of Drumore otherwise the Flat in the county of Caven Spinster of the second part and JOHN WILTON of Drumore otherwise the Flat aforesaid and WILLIAM VAUGH of the town and county of Leitrim aforesaid both gentlemen of the third part whereby after recting as therein is recited and that a marriage was intended to be had and solemised between the said GEORGE VAUGH and the said MARGARET WILTON and also reciting that WALTER VAUGH formally of Ballinaboy in the county of Leitrim being in and previous to the year one thousand seven hundred and seventy seven seized in fee simple of the lands of Ballinaboy in the county of Leitrim died in that year leaving issue several children amongst the rest JAMES VAUGH his eldest son but previous to his death made his will bearing date the twenty seventh day of April one thousand seven hundred and seventy seven whereby he bequeathed the said lands of Mullynaboy to his eldest son the said JAMES VAUGH and his heirs male lawfully begotten for ever and that the said JAMES VAUGH in the year one thousand eight hundred and twenty two died but previous to his death made his will bearing date the ninth day of November one thousand eight hundred and nineteen stating that his eldest so GEORGE VAUGH was entitled to said lands of Ballinaboy and his heirs male for ever but in case the said GEORGE VAUGH should die without issue male then said lands to go to his second son the above named JOHN VAUGH and that the said GEORGE VAUGH died in the year one thousand eight hundred and thirty seven without leaving any male issue and that on whose death the above named JOHN VAUGH _rs ___nd________ into possession of the said lands of Ballinaboy and still continues in possession of same and that the said JOHN VAUGH is now in possession of a house and tenement and about six acres of land in the said town of Leitrim as tenant at will and that in consideration of the said intended marriage and of the sum of two hundred pounds the marriage portion of the said MARGARET WILTON in order that a compitent ?ernture ?__ of twenty five pounds sterling yearly payable in manner and on the days and times in said deed mentioned and aforesaid might be had and made for the said MARGARET WILTON in case she should survive the said GEORGE VAUGH her intended husband or that they said GEORGE VAUGH and MARGARET WILTON should at any time after said marriage live separate and apart from each other and for the other considerations in said deed mentioned and for the settling and assuring of the said lands and premises to the several uses in said deed mentioned they the said JOHN VAUGH and GEORGE VAUGH did sell assign transfer make over unto the said JOHN WILTON and WILLIAM VAUGH and their heirs and assigns for ever the said house and tenement and lands in the town of Leitrim and the said lands of Ballinaboy all situate in the parish of Leitrim barony of Leitrim and county of Leitrim aforesaid upon trust first to p_r_nd and suffer the said MARGARET WILTON and her assigns in case she shall survive her said intended husband or that they shall at any time here after live separate and apart from each other to take and leave out of the lands appertenances of ___and property the said annuity or ___ of property ______ pounds a year _____ _____ in deed ____ and upon the several other trusts and the several uses and purposes in said deed mentioned which said indenture contains several other clauses and covenants and is witnessed by WILLIAM WILTON and THOMAS WILTON both of Drumore otherwise the flat aforesaid in the said county of Caven Farmers and this memorial is also witnessed by the said WILLIAM WILTON and THOMAS WILTON. signed sealed and delivered in presence of WILLIAM WILTON (sig) (seal) THOMAS WILTON (sig) (seal) The within named WILLIAM WILTON maketh oath and saith he saw the within named JOHN VAUGH GEORGE VAUGH MARGARET WILTON JOHN WILTON and WILLIAM VAUGH duly sign seal and execute the deed of marriage settlement whereof the within writing is a memorial and also saw the said within named JOHN WILTON duly sign and seal the said memorial and this deponent___ and the said THOMAS WILTONand subscribing witnesses to the said deed and this memorial.

Sworn before me at Caven in the county of Caven this 24th day of January 1845 by virtue of a commission to me directed out of said humble court for taking affds in the said county and I know the deponent.
